SALMON FISHING IN THE MÅLSELV RIVER

For the first time in history, it is now possible to book packages which include salmon fishing in the zone down river from Gjelstenkulpen, the deep pool below Målselvfossen.

Nedre Målselvfossen Holiday Park offers a variety of packages, which can include:

  • Fishing licence for the Målselv River – up to 16 people can fish for eight hours each per day

  • Accommodation in a cabin with self contained kitchen, private bathroom, separate bedroom and lounge

  • Full board, half board or meals on a casual basis

  •  Access to meeting rooms with AV equipment

  • Instruction on fly casting

  • Socialising in the turf hut by the river with an open fire and refreshment

We can also offer activities like river paddling, clay pigeon shooting, guided hikes to the summit of Istinden, lectures on single malt whisky, cave wandering tours and horseback riding.
 

Packages comprising fishing licences for 1-4 people, accommodation and meals

 

    

 

 A suggested group package for up to eight people:    
 

Day 1:

  •   12pm – 1pm:        Arrival and lunch

  •   1pm – 3pm:        Fly-fishing lesson  

  •   3pm – 4pm:        Fishing preparations 

  •   4pm-7pm:          Fishing  

  •   7pm-9pm:          Dinner followed by a lecture about whisky

  •   9pm-12am:         Fishing 

  •  12am -              Socialising round the fire in the turf hut

 
 

 

Day 2:

  •   9am-10am:         Breakfast        

  •   10am-12pm:        Individual academic
